When we were discussing internally how we might establish, Product Hunt was among the initial channels we considered. The reason for this is that we are fans of what they’re doing and we enjoy the appearance and feel of this site (so much so we took a small inspiration from it). But we made the decision about the best way to start with our heads and not our hearts, hence the subsequent questions were decisive in deciding to conduct with Product Hunt: Just how does a business from a little island in Europe with minimal or no network at the USA perform a successful launch, creating substantial grip, onto a boot wrapped basis (i.e. without paying a $50k commission to some PR service )? What is the ideal alternative for a launch where one of the chief objectives is to receive feedback on the item, which means that we can optimise for product/market fit as soon as possible? How best might we start to develop a network in the US to ensure when we make it over there we have a touch or two that will help us get started?
